Introduction:

My name is Marjolein Masaki-Lenten and founder of Pamoja Communiceren. I am a speech and language therapist and a Hanen® therapist. In 2006 I graduated as a speech and language therapist and had my own practice in Nairobi (Kenya) for 4.5 years, where I worked with children and adolescents with various communication difficulties. I have also given regular training to parents/guardians. In August 2010 I returned to the Netherlands with my husband. Together with our daughters (10 and 5 years old) and son (2 years old) we live near Haarlem. In 2014 I completed my Master's degree in Profound and Complex Learning Difficulties MSc at The University of Manchester. I have worked in various setting. Since 9 years I have been working for Kentalis at an early intervention group with children between the age of 2,5-5 years who present with a suspicion of a specific language impairment (SLI). In addition, I give the Hanen parent program 'It takes two to talk'. I find the collaboration with parents extremely important and inspiring, in which the needs and wishes of the child and the system are central. Every child and family is unique, which I find intriguing. I'm looking forward to working together!
